Awards

Some of the awards I am most proud of achieving in my career include...

2002 - BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Award Nominee
The nationally recognized British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominated me in their accessibility category for a website called the Audio Network, at the time breaking new ground in computer accessibility for blind people. Other nominees were BBC Television ('OUCH!'), the Tate Gallery ('I-MAP'), and Nykris Digital Design ('Foodlink').

2012 - US Association of Blind Athletes Hall of Fame Inductee
Throughout my career I have been thankful and grateful to be involved in the sport of goalball, a Paralympic sport played by visually impaired athletes. I was instrumental in bringing the sport of goalball to the Internet, broadcasting from the early 2000's by either traveling to tournaments, or broadcasting remotely through web cameras set up at court side. My personal highlight was to audio broadcast the entire 2008 Paralympic Goalball tournament (men and women) live on a remote feed from Beijing, China. The USABA recognized my "outstanding accomplishments" in breaking down the barriers to broadcasting the sport in 2012.

2014 - McDowell Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year
As a member of the Board of Directors of the local chamber of commerce, my activities in promoting the benefits of membership to new members, and encouraging current members to also take advantage of those benefits, earned me the award of Ambassador of the Year. This award, being from my business community peers, means a great deal to me.

I have a proven and ongoing track record of success with agricultural organizations and university projects, offering a wide range of different services to each organization to high quality standards.

AVMS Webinar

"This was our first venture into online events, and Bill made it a great success"
John Reynolds, Executive Director AVMS

"I spoke with John last night to share with him my thoughts on the conference as a whole. It was a big success, very smooth, no blow-ups, on time. I am going to accredit a large portion of that to you, your skills and thoughtful planning. Well done!
It was a pleasure to work with you. True professionals are hard to find these days and you sir are certainly one of those."
Michael Kelley, Central Alabama Electric Cooperative

Communication and Inspiration

Covid Responses

Throughout the pandemic I worked closely with agricultural associations in particular, helping them to continue to perform their duties to the membership of providing information and advice, and to continue to be financially viable.

I developed a site that collated pandemic-related information from various sources, and embedded the site into the websites of of my clients' websites, giving their members the very latest information about how covid restrictions affected them. I also worked with several organizations to turn their usual physical conference auction fund-raisers into online auctions, developing a bidding process for each, and raising vital monies to keep the associations afloat. I have also organized the registration processes for associations who had never before undertaken a virtual meeting, and members have been able to extend their accreditations through these seminars.

Making things happen

A Part of the Team

For over seven years I have been proud to be a part of the hugely successful eGRO (Electronic Grower Resources Online), a collaborative effort of floriculture specialists to create a new clearing house for alerts about disease, insect, environmental, physiological and nutritional disorders being observed in commercial greenhouses. As eGRO has grown from it's inception I have been able to provide additional services, including a blog function and a video repository.

I am also very exited to be a part of the Optimia Project, a cutting edge specialty crop research project providing research, information, and discussion around the indoor farming industry.

NC Apple Growers Association
Alabama Vegetaion Management Society
Carolina Feed Industry Association
NC Corn Growers Association
NC Greenhouse Vegetable Growers Association

Since 2008 I have been providing organizations like yours a wide range of services that suit their particular needs, like member directories, online payment collection and registrations, product promotions, member marketing, and many more.

Your organization will have specific and individual needs that need to be met in order to gain the most from being online. I can provide those services.

Pricing

Most web designers and companies like to keep their cards close to their chest when it comes to the price. I'm different. I want to tell you the price before you even pick up the phone to discuss your requirements!

Let me guess... you were expecting a non-committal, bland message in this section inviting you to "call for a quotation" or to "discuss your unique requirements."

Your price is $450 per year.

I will design your site, update your site, add emails, a domain name (if you haven't already got one), and host your website. All for $450 per year.

When you partner with me, you will appreciate my philosophy of integrity and Affordability, a rare combination in my industry. It is no surprise that some of my clients have been with me for over ten years!

So now, let's talk about what you need. And I will put together a few sample pages to show you what I can do for your organization. No obligation of course!
